Xbox launches XP division led by Kayleen Walters

XP will expand franchises through films, products, live events and partnerships.

On 8 October 2026, Xbox announced XP, a new division led by president Kayleen Walters. It gathers existing Xbox expertise to extend franchises into film, television, consumer products, strategic partnerships and live experiences, reaching new fans and strengthening player connections.

Its four investment areas are Xbox Pictures for film and TV worlds and characters; Xbox Products for authentic fan objects; Xbox Places for live events, immersive experiences and destinations; and Xbox Partnerships for creators, brands and communities. Walters brings thirteen years at Lucasfilm and Minecraft management at Mojang.
